Gardopia Gardens

Gardopia Gardens is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency based in the Near East of San Antonio, founded in May 2015. Effective interventions are needed to address the growing epidemic of obesity related diseases and environmental issues. Over the next 5 years, Gardopia Gardens aims to reduce obesity and malnutrition by increasing accessibility to fresh produce and implementing strategic intervention programming in schools, businesses, and community organizations.

Gardopia Gardens provides programs and services to educational, commercial, and residential communities, providing tools, materials, and best practices to ensure their sustainability.

Christian Cupboard of Seguin

An all volunteer non-profit organization 501(c)(3) which provides food and other basic need items to those living in Guadalupe County, Texas founded in December 1991. With the help from the community and charitable donors, the cupboard has been able to expand their operations and increase their support for the Seguin area. Good Samaritan Community Services : 2014 – 2020

The mission of Good Samaritan Community Services (Good Sam) is to serve as a catalyst for change, supporting youth, individuals and families by providing excellent community services to overcome economic poverty. The Center was established in 1951 by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, under the leadership of Bishop Everett Jones. It began as a downtown mission of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

Since then, Good Sam has grown to become a private, nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization and United Way agency that provides comprehensive services to more than 5,500 individuals and 1,800 families in six (6) locations around South Texas. Good Sam actively serves as a place of change, reaching out to support thousands of people working to improve their lives and to overcome the challenges of poverty.
